Security improvements
A small collection of commonly requested and best practice security improvements, including:
- Prohibiting words/phrases from being used in passwords: Clients can now specify a list of words, phrases, and character combinations (e.g. Password, P4ssw0rd, letmein) and users will not be able to use these in their passwords.
- Temporarily lock accounts after multiple failed login attempts: Logins will be locked after 5 failed login attempts within a half-hour window. (Both the failure count and timeframe can be modified by the client)
- Lock Back Office after a period of inactivity: If a user is logged into the back office and no activity is detected for 60 minutes (by default), the back office will lock and the user will need to unlock it by re-entering their login credentials.
- Log operator out of PoS after a period of inactivity: If the Point of Sale sits at the ‘Waiting for a customer’ screen for 60 minutes (by default) then the PoS will log the operator out, returning the PoS to the login screen.
For more details on the above, and to configure alternative values, see the section on Security policies.

Bug fixes
- Fixed an issue where an administrator could not reset the password of a login when their current password was last changed within the ‘Minimum password page’ policy.
- Fixed an issue where sometimes information provided by a payment provider (such as name, class info) could be longer than the database column length, causing a truncation error, by making these fields much larger.
- Fixed an issue where the Google/Apple Wallet setting was not being read correctly from the school settings on the PoS.
- Fixed an issue where the Allergy/Restriction prompt on the self-service could not be dismissed on the touchscreen (but worked with a mouse)
