In this latest version of Fusion, the following changes have been made:

General

  • Various changes and optimisations to Improve the performance of the Point of Sale, including:
    • Drastically optimised how the PoS renders the layout. This should be particularly noticeable on older hardware.
    • Removed a trip to the data server to display the users closing balance on the rear display. This will now be calculated locally based on the users opening balance and the items purchased.
    • Improved calculation of user spend limits
    • Improved calculation of the user’s current balance
    • Additional database optimisations
  • Renamed “Snappy snacks” to simply “PoS Pre-order”
  • Changed graphic and text on Self-Service Checkout screen when barcode scanning is not enabled, so it doesn’t instruct the user to scan items, instead to select from the menus

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue where refreshing the layout on the PoS would not update the button image if the image has been changed
  • Fixed a display issue on the pre-order layout editor when periods had long names
  • Fixed an issue where a single Fusion user could be linked to multiple payment provider accounts
  • Fixed an issue with the Daily summary sales adjustment calculation for previous pre-orders.
  • Fixed an issue where it was possible to set the only price list on the system with a future start date.
  • Fixed an issue where you could not delete a layout when logged in using SSO as you couldn’t log in via SSO to confirm deletion
  • Fixed an issue where the user’s spend limit displayed on the PoS and pre-order kiosk would always show their personal limit, even when the current limit may be lower. (e.g. at break time the limit set at the user type may be £2.00 but if the user daily limit was £5, £5 would be shown despite the user only being able to spend £2.00)
  • Fixed an issue with the Point of Sale running out of memory with facial recognition due to the images not being correctly disposed of and staying in memory longer than necessary
  • Fixed an issue where the PDQ Payments screen was showing the incorrect operator name as it was still looking at the user table, not the new Login table.
  • Fixed an issue where you could not log into Fusion Collect with a login that was a member of multiple security roles.
  • Fixed an issue where you could not update the user/cash receipt printing settings on the self-service checkout
  • Fixed an issue where the basket total was not updated correctly when switching user accounts and the basket contained a restricted item for the new account
  • Fixed an issue where lead-throughs and popups on a PoS layout were being incorrectly duplicated when cloning a layout.
