The LACA Main Event is over for another year, and we had a great time engaging with school and trust leaders, caterers, and councils at the Birmingham-based event on the 3rd and 4th of July.
Showcasing Innovative Solutions
At the LACA Main Event, we proudly presented our extensive meal ordering and payment solutions, including Fusion Cashless, the award-winning Fusion Online pre-order meal app, and iPayimpact online payment system. Fusion Cashless, our all-encompassing meal management system, effectively streamlines the complexities of school meal service, ensuring both accuracy and efficiency. The iPayimpact platform and our newly launched parent app received enthusiastic feedback for its intuitive design and on-the-go benefits for parents.
Attendees particularly appreciated how the iPay app's user-friendly interface provides a hassle-free experience for parents, simplifying payments for school meals, trips, and events. This feedback underscores our commitment to enhancing school payments through innovative technology.
LACA Main Event Focus
This year's theme, "Levelling Up School Food," was particularly resonant, addressing the pressing challenges of cost increases, staffing shortages, and funding shortfalls in providing nutritious meals to children. LACA's campaign for a minimum funding level of £3 per meal aims to ensure that all children receive the best school food to support their growth and learning. At CRB Cunninghams, we are well-positioned to assist schools in overcoming these challenges by streamlining meal management processes and enhancing overall efficiency in school catering operations.
Introducing the Self-Serve Kiosk
One of the show's highlights was the Self-Serve Kiosk, which drew significant interest and praise. This state-of-the-art solution offers an additional point of sale, allowing pupils to check out and pay for school meals via a self-serve machine. This increases total sales capacity and promotes a smooth and orderly flow in the dining hall. The kiosk's intuitive interface makes transactions easy, encouraging more students and staff to use on-site catering and enhancing the overall lunchtime experience. Bryan Lygate from Impact Food Group, a long-standing CRBC customer, stopped by the stand to test the kiosk and expressed enthusiasm about its potential to transform school meal services.
A Successful Event
CRB Cunninghams' Sales Director, Stuart Brown, reflected on the event, stating, "This year's show was a great success. Engaging with industry leaders reinforced that our solutions are on the right track, addressing the evolving needs of modern school catering. The positive feedback we received motivates us to continue innovating and improving our solutions."
Looking Ahead
Meeting new and familiar faces was a fantastic experience, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who visited our booth. We are excited about the future and look forward to next year's show, where we aim to continue supporting the education sector with our cutting-edge solutions. Thank you for making this year's LACA Main Event a memorable and productive experience.
